Operation Al-Aqsa Flood thwarted major Israeli attack on Gaza

TEHRAN, Oct. 07 (MNA) – Al-Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Obeidah said on the anniversary of Oct. 7 that Operation al-Aqsa Flood was a massive pre-emptive strike against Israel and came before the regime could launch a major attack on Gaza.

He said the operation came in the wake of the regime’s continuous aggression against the Palestinians and desecration of al-Aqsa Mosque, which had reached an unprecedentedly dangerous stage.

“And now, for a year, combatants have been waging an unequal battle with the criminal enemy,” Abu Obeida said.

The Qassam Brigades spokesman vowed that the group will keep fighting a “long war of attrition.”

“We choose to keep up the fight in a long war of attrition, one that is painful and costly for the enemy.”

“Drones from Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen are flying in the skies over occupied Palestinian territories, striking important enemy sites and targets and draining the Zionist enemy’s security and defensive capabilities. The aircraft disrupt the occupying regime’s balance and inflict heavy economic and military losses on it,” Abu Obeida said.

The Qassam Brigades spokesman said Resistance combatants are continuing their heroic steadfastness in every inch of Gaza, and the battle will go on until Israel is defeated.

Abu Obeida said the assassination of Resistance leaders will not intimidate Palestinian factions, and that the Zionist enemy’s joy will be short-lived.
