Sergey Lavrov held a phone conversation with Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Tuesday during which he followed up on a Russian citizen who was on an Israeli-linked ship seized by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) near Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf last Saturday.
More details about this phone call have not yet been released, while IRGC Navy seized an Israeli cargo ship near the Strait of Hormuz for violating maritime laws and diverted it to Iranian waters on Saturday.
