Raeisi communicates agreement law to boost ties with Belarus

TEHRAN, Jan. 15 (MNA) – In a letter penned to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance (MEAF), the Iranian President announced the law of the agreement between Iran and Belarus aimed at enhancing bilateral trade and economic relations.

The law was approved by the Iranian parliament on December 3, 2023, and was then notified by Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi on January 13, 2024.

Back in October, the head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI), on the sidelines of the 16th edition of the Iran-Belarus Joint Economic Commission meeting, pointed to the growing trend of trade between the two countries and emphasized that Tehran and Minsk enjoy high potentials to enhance bilateral relations in the fields of trade and economy.

The agreements made in the commission will lead to achieving $400 million in trade between the two countries in the next two years, he underlined.
