Hamas says targeted Israeli helicopter over Khan Yunis

TEHRAN, Jan. 13 (MNA) – Hamas military wing, Qassam Brigades said Saturday it targeted an Israeli helicopter over the city of Kahn Yunis in south of the besieged Gaza Strip with a surface to air missile.

"We were able to attack and target an Israeli helicopter in the east of the city of Khan Yunis in the south of the Gaza Strip with a surface-to-air missile," Hamas's military wing Qassam Brigades said in a statement on Saturday, the 99th consecutive day of the Zionist Israeli regime's war on Gaza.

Moreover, the Brigades said that its forces targeted 4 Israeli Merkava tanks and a military carrier with “Al-Yassin 105” shells east of Khan Yunis city.

This unyielding resistance comes amidst ongoing support and approval from the United States, allowing the ‘Israel’ to commit heinous massacres against defenseless civilians in the besieged region. Additionally, complicity from Western countries and some Arab regimes, along with the silence and inaction of those who claim to champion human rights and freedoms, have further exacerbated the suffering endured by the people of Gaza, according to Al-Manar TV website.

Reports from Palestinian media have revealed intense artillery shelling and sustained clashes in various areas of central and southern Khan Yunis. Furthermore, violent confrontations have erupted between the Palestinian resistance and Israeli occupation forces east of Deir al-Balah. This defiant display of strength highlights the unwavering determination of the Palestinian people to defend their land and freedom, regardless of the enemy’s ruthless assaults, the Al-Manar report added.
