Hamas confirms martyrdom of deputy political head

TEHRAN, Jan. 02 (MNA) – The Hamas movement has confirmed the martyrdom of Saleh al-Arouri, the deputy chairman of the political bureau of the Palestinian Resistance movement and two Qassam Brigades commanders in an Israeli attack in Beirut.

Local media in Lebanon said Tuesday that an Israeli drone targeted the Hamas office in al-Mashraqiya, south of Beirut, and several people were martyred or injured in the attack.

Two security sources have claimed to Reuters that a senior Palestinian official was killed in an explosion in Beirut suburb of Dahiyeh on Tuesday.

A Hamas official has rejected media speculations that Osma Hamdan, senior representative of Hamas in Lebanon was martyred in the Zionist regime's attack. 

In an official statement, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement denied the assassination of Ziad al-Nakhlah, the secretary general of the movement, in the southern suburbs of Beirut explosion.

Saleh al-Arouri, the deputy chairman of Hamas's political bureau, has been martyred in the terrorist attack, media have reported.

The Palestinian Hamas Islamic Resistance movement has officially confirmed the martyrdom of Sheikh Saleh al-Arouri, the deputy head of the political bureau of the movement, and two of the commanders of the Qassam Brigades in the Zionist regime's terrorist attack in Beirut.

The caretaker Prime Minister of Lebanon Najib Mikati condemned the explosion and terror attack in the suburb of Beirut and said that this is a new crime on the part of Israeli regime.

The Lebanese al-Mayadeen news site reports that the death count from tonight’s Israeli airstrike on a Hamas office has climbed from four to six.
