Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks during a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Monday night.
The two Iranian and Russian top diplomats conferred on a range of issues regarding the bilateral relations between Tehran and Moscow, as well as several regional and international matters.
During the phone conversation, the Iranian foreign minister called for putting an end to the war crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip and send more humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave.
He also stressed the need for the continuation of consultations between the Iranian and Russian high-ranling officials.
Lavrov, for his part, emphasized the need to continue international efforts in order to achieve a ceasefire and increase the sending of humanitarian aid to the residents of Gaza.
