Taskhiri told the Mehr News Agency that all aspects of the Holy Quran must be studied and highlighted the need for Muslims to follow its teachings in their daily lives.
He called for the promotion of Holy Quran recitation and memorization competitions in Muslim states, adding that this could encourage Muslims to act upon the teachings of the Quran.
Taskhiri stressed the need for the Islamic Ummah (community) to consider the tradition of Prophet Mohammad (S), the Holy Quran, and Islamic jurisprudence, saying that encouraging this would help foster unity and solidarity among Muslims.
