Siami elected as new head of Iran's Atheltic Federation

TEHRAN, Oct. 11 (MNA) – Hashem Siami has been elected as the new head of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Athletic Federation (IRIAAF).

In the election session held at the IRIAFF in Tehran on Sunday, Siami was elected for a four-year term till 2024 by receiving 24 votes out of 45 votes.

Ayoub Behtaj finished in second place in the elections with 17 votes.

Siami replaced Mehdi Mobini who worked as the federation’s acting president for eight months.
