Iranian publishers to participate in Bologna Children’s Book Fair

TEHRAN, Mar. 10 (MNA) -- Iranian publishers plan to participate in this year’s Bologna Children’s Book Fair, which is being held in the Italian city from March 27 to 30, the Persian service of IRNA reported on Friday.

Representatives of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA), Amirkabir and Shabaviz publications, and Iran’s Union of Publishers will be going to Bologna for the event.

 

An exclusive exhibition of illustration works by Alireza Golduzian, the winner of the Grand Prix BIB of the Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava 2005 (BIB 2005), is to be held in the illustration section of the book fair.

 

Moreover, the catalogue, its book cover, and the billboards of the book fair have been designed by Golduzian.

 

The names of several Iranian illustrators, including Neda Azimi, Badrieh Sahar, Ali Buzari, Kheiriyeh Rashin, Azadeh Madani, and Morteza Zahedi, are also being published in the catalogue.

 

The Bologna Children’s Book Fair is the world’s most important event for the children’s publishing and multimedia industry with some 1,200 exhibitors from over 60 countries. Publishers, booksellers, multimedia companies, TV/film production companies and more come to Bologna to buy and sell rights, make distribution and other sales deals and learn about the latest trends in children’s and educational publishing.
