Iranian referees to officiate at AFC U-23 c’ship

TEHRAN, Nov. 17 (MNA) – The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) invited Iranian referee Alireza Faghani and his Iranian team to officiate at the AFC U-23 Championship, which will be held in Thailand from January 8 to 26.

Faghani will be assisted by his countrymen Mohammad Reza Mansouri and Mohammad Reza Abolfazli in the competition.

The top three teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics men's football tournament in Japan as the AFC representatives.

The Iranian team has been drawn in Group C of the competition along with Uzbekistan, China and South Korea.
