The achievements include the lap joint technology used in various industries, such as the aerospace. The most important feature of this technology is the ability to separate two pieces of previously joint metal without doing any damage to either piece.
Another achievement unveiled on Monday was a 212 emergency helicopter manufactured by Iranian experts from the aviation industry. The helicopter is specially used to carry patients and medical equipment. It also has the capability of carrying more than one stretcher, and comes equipped with CPR.
Defense Minister Hatami also unveiled a Fokker 100 engine combustion chamber, which is considered as a significant achievement in the aviation sector, and manufactured by Iranian experts.
The achievements were unveiled on the sidelines of the 9th edition of Iran Air Show, which kicked off today on Kish Island in the Persian Gulf, and will continue through Nov. 29.
Some 110 Iranian and 10 foreign companies are taking part in the four-day event, showcasing their latest achievements in the aviation industries.
