TEHRAN, Nov. 02 (MNA) – Chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iranian Parliament said Fri. that Iranian Foreign Ministry should have taken retaliatory measures after Denmark recalled its ambassador.

“Following terrorist attack in Ahvaz, we expected the Foreign Ministry to summon the Danish ambassador to pursue the issue of the presence of extremist terrorists there, but unfortunately, due to some considerations, this did not take place,” Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh told Mehr News Agency (MNA) correspondent.

With regard to Denmark’s motives behind recalling his ambassador from, Falahatpisheh said that Denmark wanted to show the green light to the United States as November 4 arrives on which the new round of sanctions is going to take effect.

Iranian diplomats need to make Iran’s stance clear in their negotiations with the European parties, he added.

Chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iranian Parliament further said that Denmark’s goal was to cover up the issue of its failure to fulfill obligations in countering terrorism.
