‘The Season of Warm Breezes’ wins at Portuguese filmfest.

TEHRAN, Aug. 09 (MNA) – Iranian documentary 'The Season of Warm Breezes' by Hossein Rigi has won the award for best international short or medium length film at the 5th Filmes do Homem - Melgaço International Documentary Film Festival in Portugal.

The Iranian documentary competed for the best international short or medium length film award with 14 other titles from Brazil, Spain, Poland, Germany, Netherlands, France and the host country.

‘The Season of Warm Breezes’ is about a Baluchi teacher who tries to fight illiteracy in her village.

Filmes do Homem - the Melgaço International Documentary Film Festival selected documentaries for 2018 under the themes of “identity, memory and border.” According to the event’s website, all selected films demonstrated “the author's point of view about aspects related with social, individual, cultural and identity issues.”

The fifth edition of the festival was held from July 30 to August 5 in Viana do Castelo in the Norte Region of Portugal.
