Iran’s VP warns against attempts to replace Iran oil in global market

TEHRAN, July 01 (MNA) – The Iranian first Vice president Es’hagh Jahangiri has called some countries’ attempts to eliminate Iran from global oil market as ‘treasonous’.

“They think Saudi Arabia will easily add a few million barrels of oil to the global market, but any country that seeks to replace Iran in the oil market, will commit  a big treason against the Iranian nation and the international community,” Es’hagh Jahangiri said in a ceremony held in Tehran today to commemorate the anniversary of National Industry and Mine Day, adding adding “they must know that there will be a price for their treason.”

Jahangiri said that Iranian government will try to defeat the US policy of draining Iran’s oil income and it is now planning to keep the current level of oil sale.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Iranian vice president said that the Americans are putting obstacles on the way of Iran’s trade relations with the world, saying “Iran has 15 neighboring countries and has rail and road routes to many parts of the world. Meanwhile private sector companies and foreign companies have announced they will continue cooperation.”
