US Treasury Department has turned into war room against Iran

TEHRAN, Jul. 10 (MNA) – Iranian First Vice-President Es’hagh Jahangiri said that the United States’ Department of Treasury has become the war room against Iran’s economy.

He made the remarks on Tuesday in inauguration ceremony of some steel production projects in Isfahan.

The enemy wants to totally cut Iran’s revenue from oil exports, triggering an economic crisis in the country and increase public protests, he added.

One cannot live with this “misconception” that US economic war against Iran would not have any effect, he noted.

“We should ruin enemy’s goals and safeguard people from harm by precise planning,” he added.

US had not fulfilled its commitments to Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) even before its withdrawal, said Jahangiri, adding that Iran awaits European country’s reaction towards guarding Iran’s interests.

He went on to say that increasing the production of steel can help the country to boost its economy.
