Speaking in quake-hit Salas-e Babajani, Jahangiri told the reporters “while during the last 15 days the government and others have been of great help to the people in the quake-hit areas, we will increase our efforts to relieve the earthquake survivors.”
Vice president expressed his hope that “people have their own permanent homes faster than planned, and return to work and their daily-life in earthquake-hit areas.”
Referring to the accompanying cabinet ministers on his trip with him, the vice presidents stated that “their mission is to improve and normalize the economic situation in the region and help the businesses restart their activities.”
He announced that the government will finish resettling people in temporary shelters including tents and container homes and added, "we are striving to provide safe and secure shelters for the people, and contracts have been finalized with contractors in this regard, and we are going ahead with our plans."
Dr. Jahangiri also pointed out that they are providing long-term and interest -free loans to the people in the earthquake-hit areas in order to help them rebuild their houses.
