IPU senior officials extend sympathies over earthquake in Iran

TEHRAN, Nov. 20 (MNA) – Gabriela Barron and Martin Chungong of the Inter-Parliamentary Union sent condolences messages to the Speaker of Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani and the Iranian nation.

In messages of condolences forwarded, on Monday, by Gabriela Cuevas Barron the President, and Martin Chungong, the Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the two officials expressed their deepest condolences over the occurrence of the deadly earthquake in western Iran.

The last Sunday earthquake in western province of Kermanshah in Iran, on November 12, claimed the lives of around 500 victims and left around 9000 injured and homeless.

The two officials extended sympathies with all Iranians, especially the bereaved families.
