In a message to the Chairwoman of the Mexican Senate's Foreign Relations Committee Gabriela Cuevas Barron, her Iranian counterpart Alaeddin Boroujerdi, the Chairman of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, extended sympathies to the Mexican lawmakers, nation, and government over the earthquake of Tuesday.
He issued the message on Wednesday after a deadly tremor of 7.1 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Mexico on Tuesday claiming the lives of more than 200 people.
“With great sorrow, I was informed of the death of a number of your compatriots in an incident of earthquake in your country’s capital city,” opens the message. The Iranian legislator wishes immediate recovery of the wounded and patience for the bereaved families.
