Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif made the remark in a message addressed at the opening of ‘Iran and Russia; Five Centuries of Cooperation’ scientific conference that was held at the Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History (RGASPI) in Moscow on Wednesday.
“No doubt, the successful holding of this conference will leave a good impression of the relations between the two countries that can prove helpful in expanding cultural links between the two nations and cementing bilateral ties,” Zarif’s message read.
Also in a message delivered at the conference, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted the improved relations between Iran and Russia in all areas, adding “joint dialogs will play their parts in multilateral interactions.”
Lavrov further reviewed the two countries’ cooperation in various fields including military, scientific, humanitarian, tourism and so on, adding “we will make every effort to expand operation in response to challenges such as terrorism and the settlement of Syrian crisis. The outcome of this conference will further help the development of Iran and Russia’s relations in all sectors.”
