“It was unfortunate to receive the bitter news on the earthquake which hit western parts of the country in final hours of Sunday and left a number of our compatriots dead or injured,” said Ayatollah Amoli Larijani while wishing mercy for the lost and immediate healing for the injured and wounded.
Head of Iran’s Judiciary later urged all state and provincial officials to use all available means to help and treat the wounded adding “the top issue is to help likely survivals stuck under debris and the next major step would be financial compensations which will dealt with by the government.”
“Given the low temperature in western areas of the country, relief and treatment of the wounded requires efforts of all executive and service providing agencies,” highlighted the official asserting that he had received a report on earthquake-stricken areas through telephone conversations with local judicial officials who are now present in those areas and seek to resolve all issues.
Iranian Judiciary Chief, Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani, said the earthquake had caused the greatest damage to the town of Sarpol-e Zahab in Kermanshah province and nearby villages and expressed hope that, with efforts of executive agencies, timely service will be provided to those in trouble.
The official later voiced readiness of the Judiciary to offer any service to the people affected by the bitter incident reiterating that local judiciary officials had been urged to secure quake-hit provinces.
At the end of his remarks, Ayatollah Amoli Larijani shared condolences with victims of the earthquake in the west of the country and wished immediate healing for wounded and injured individuals.
