Zarif, Mahiga call for joint transactions in economic, trade arenas

TEHRAN, Oct. 11 (MNA) – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Tanzania, Augustine Mahiga, met and talked with Iranian FM Mohammad Javad Zarif in Tehran.

Mahiga of Tanzania, who is on an official visit to Tehran, met and talked with Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday morning.

Accordingly, the two sides mulled over venues for expansion and development of bilateral relations between Tehran and Dodoma, including in banking, tourism, consular, scientific, technolgy, water and energy fields.

Zarif and Mahiga also exchanged views on ways to bolster joint transactions in economic and trade arenas; they also called for acceleration of forming an economic commission between the two countries.

They also discussed global and regional issues and called for bilateral cooperation in international organizations and communities

Augustine Mahiga, for his part, welcomed the expansion of ties in various sectors of politics, economy, science and culture.
