“The US is poisoning the atmosphere of trade transactions with Iran by imposing new anti-Iran sanctions,” said Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for International and Legal Affairs Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Friday before the opening of the eighth Joint Commission of JCPOA between Iran and 5+1.
Mr. Araghchi noted that whenever the Americans fulfill an obligation promised in the JCPOA, they set a new sanction policy against a new list of Iranian entities and therefore poison the atmosphere against Iran.
“The same way we are prepared for any untold scenario of Americans”, reassured the Iranian diplomat, “the JCPOA has solutions for this purpose and we have plans to fully defend our rights and interests according to the JCPOA.”
The eighth Joint Commission of JCPOA opened on Friday morning in Austrian capital city of Vienna, with representatives from the US, the UK, Russia, China, Germany, a delegation from Iran headed by Mr. Araghchi, and a delegation from European Union headed by Secretary General of European External Action Service (EEAS) Helga Schmid.
Iranian diplomats Mr. Araghchi and Mr. Takht-Ravanchi, along with other members of the Iranian delegation will discuss the latest developments in implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. Recounting the disloyalty of the US to the agreement is in the agenda of the Iranian delegation.
