Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, made the remarks in a meeting with Austrian Secretary-General for Foreign Affairs, Michael Linhart, on the sidelines of Iran and 5+1 joint commission’s meeting in Vienna on Friday.
During the meeting, the two sides expressed satisfaction with the progress and positive developments in Iran-Austria’s political, economic and cultural relations, and voiced their respective country’s readiness to further expand and deepen bilateral cooperation in all fields of mutual interest.
The two diplomats also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East.
Takht-Ravanchi noted the IAEA’s reports confirming Iran’s full commitment to the implementation of JCPOA, adding “it is imperative that the international community react to the US breach of its JCPOA-related commitments.”
The Austrian official, for his part, voiced full support for the implementation of the nuclear deal, stressing that Austria is adamant in making efforts so that all sides to the deal stay committed to their promises.
