TEHRAN, Jun. 09 (MNA) – Afghan President Ashraf Ghani told Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif that terrorists targeted symbolic places in Tehran, during a bilateral meeting in Kazakh capital city of Astana on Thursday.

“Terrorist targeted two symbolic venues in Tehran which bear great importance for the Iranian nation and it proves their animosity with the Iranian people,” said Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on Thursday during his bilateral meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, in Kazakh capital city Astana.

The Afghan president opened the meeting with condemning the Wednesday terrorist attacks on Tehran and offered sympathies to and voicing solidarity with Iran’s Leader, government, and people.

Exchanging views on the new crisis in the Persian Gulf between some states, the two officials underlined that the region cannot bear another crisis and called for the countries involved to solve their problems through dialogue.
