In a message to Hamas new leader, Ali Larijani stressed that the liberation of Palestine from the Israeli regime is the first priority of the Muslim Ummah, adding “the Islamic Republic of Iran since the first days of its establishment has placed support for the liberating resistance of the Palestinian nation on its foreign policy agenda.”
“Iranian Parliament will continue its support for those fighting to liberate the Holy al-Quds,” he added.
Larijani further wished further prosperity and increasing success for Ismail Haniyeh and the people of Palestine.
Ismail Haniyeh was announced last week as the new leader of Hamas' political bureau, succeeding Khaled Meshaal, who had held the position for the past 10 years.
