Zarif meets Amano, al-Ebadi in Munich

TEHRAN, Feb. 18 (MNA) – Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has met with foreign ministers of countries on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference.

Mr. Zarif’s hectic agenda in Munich included bilateral meeting with counterparts from Russia, Turkey, Britain, and EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini. With Mogherini, Zarif discussed JCPOA implementation and other issues of bilateral interest.

Still in a different meeting, Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Ebadi discussed with FM the latest conditions on the fight against ISIL in Mosul.

Yukiya Amano, Head of IAEA, was another figure with whom Zarif addressed the pressing issues on Iran’s nuclear program and the possible coordination with the IAEA which would help accelerate the highly criticized slow pace of the JCPOA implementation.

Spanish foriegn minister and Slovenian president were also in Munich Security Conference and met with FM Zarif.

In his latest meeting, FM Zarif and Ukrainian counterpart discussed regional as well as international issues.
