Iran to act reciprocally for US nationals’ visa

TEHRAN, Feb. 01 (MNA) – Deputy FM Ravanchi has said Iran’s Foreign Ministry is adopting a mechanism to act reciprocally regarding the visa issuance for US nationals.

“During the session we discussed Iran’s missile tests and all members of the commission reaffirmed that Iran would not wait for any country’s permission in defense issues,” Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Amercan and European Affairs, said after a meeting with Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission on Wednesday.

“Iran’s missile test is not against the 2231 UNSC resolution as our missiles are not designed to carry nuclear warheads,” Ravanchi asserted.

He continued “the US visa ban was also discussed as an discriminatory act against Islamic countries; as announced before we would take reciprocal measures in this regard; yet US’ international and bilateral commitments should not be affected by this irrational policy.”
