Iran to retaliate for US visa ban against Iran

TEHRAN, Jan. 30 (MNA) – Iranian First VP Es’hagh Jahangiri ensured reciprocal act for Trump’s recent travel ban against Iran and 6 other Muslim-majority countries.

Speaking among reporters on Monday, Jahangiri said Iran’s Foreign Ministry has announced Iran’s stance on US President Trump’s travel ban, stressing that Iran will stop US citizens from entering the country in retaliation to Washington’s visa ban against Iran and six other majority-Muslim countries.

Jahangiri underlined that the Islamic Republic will protect and support nationals around the world in any way possible.

“We will certainly take our position at international community against this illegal, inhumane and anti-human rights policy to once again scrutinize the US-defined human rights in the world,” he stressed.

Iranians are among the world's most civilized and most historical nations playing effective role in developing global civilization and who never can be accused of supporting terrorists, he noted.

Our nation is the victim of terrorism, Jahangiri said, and have been suffered from terrorism especially after the Revolution; "however, Iranians are the only nation who stood against the US-backed terrorists in the region, those who jeopardized the security of the people of Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Libya and prevented the terrorists to take places in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria and Iraq," he said.
