The cover story of this edition is dedicated to the Syrian crisis, with Op-ed pieces, reports and interviews on Iran-Russia’s defense cooperation in combating terrorism, the US war agenda in Syria, the Syrian ceasefire, and Turkey’s military involvement in the war-torn country. Notable in this list is the interview conducted by MNA International Service with visiting Syrian Parliament Speaker Mrs. Hediyeh Khalaf Abbas, who stressed that Syria would not accept US apologies for targeting Syrian government troops in Deir Ezzor.

The Culture section kicks off with a report on Tehran’s International Puppet Theater Festival, followed by an account of a desert traveler to Desert of Khartouran, in Shahroud’s Biarjmand County, in Semnan. This section also discusses the controversy of women cyclists in Iran and a commemoration piece on the famous and valuable national figures of Iran’s cultural heritage, Mohammad Hossein Behjat Tabrizi, mainly known by his pen name Shahriar.
The Dossier is dedicated to 2015 Mina tragedy which left thousands of pilgrims dead, including many Iranians. The section starts with a Hajj message by Iran’s Leader Ayat. Khamenei, in which he called on the Islamic world to reconsider the management of the two holy places and the issue of Hajj. A report discusses Saudi Arabia’s black history of excluding Iranians from the divine duty of Hajj, and another article argues for compensations to be made to the families of Mina victims by Saudi government.
