Iranian chess players bag five victories in Round 4

TEHRAN, Sep. 26 (MNA) – Youth Chess players of Iran came out victorious in five matches at Round four of FIDE World Youth U14, U16, U18 Championships underway in Russia.

The fourth round of the FIDE World Youth U14, U16, U18 Championships 2016 was played in Khanty-Mansiysk of Russia.

Iran’s national youth chess team, comprising 11 athletes, is participating at the evet in both open and girls’ sections.

The most notable achievement for Iran was attained by the Iranian IM Mohammad Amin Tabatabaei who pulled out a precious victory against to remain atop U16 rankings in Round four of the tournament.

Accordingly, Tabatabei is enjoying the top position in the ranking cross table after Round 4 of the international event.

Parham Maghsoodloo, Aryan Gholami and Vesal Hamedinia were also triumphant in their Round four encounters.

Furthermore, a contest between two Iranian compatriots, Shahin Lorpari and Seyed Khalil Mousavi, ended in a tie.

Mersad Khodashenas and Mobina Alinasab also drew against their rivals at the international sportive event.

Meanwhile, Anahita Zahedifar and Mohadeseh Alijanzadeh suffered defeats in the fourth round of FIDE World Youth Championships.

The tournament is underway in Khanty-Mansiysk of Russia from September 20 till October 04 with attendance of the best young players of the world.
