2 Iranian films to vie at Sose Intl. Filmfest.

TEHRAN, Aug. 20 (MNA) – Iranian two short movies ‘Ardak’ by Esmaeel Monsef and ‘Hasti’ directed by Kamal Parnak will vie at the competition section of Sose Intl. Filmfest. in Armenia.

Ardak in Azeri language means a tree which has been rotten and hollow inside. The story of the film depicts an 'expectation' that is not becase of love, but the only way to survive. The film is recounted in a collage of tones and light with two central characters, a woman and a father-in-law, in a local space.  

The movie will experience its first international screening competing with 15 other movies at the festival.

Hasti which has been produced by Tabriz branch of IYCS, narrates the story of a child girl on the day her mother died. Due to her lack of understanding of the concept of death, in her childhood world and while playing, she gets involved with the concept of death.

Sose National Film Festival is about women and the participant films revolve around the theme women. The event highlights women’s rights by the language of art.
