Iran shooter Ahmadi fails to achieve medal

RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 06 (MNA) – Iranian female shooter who had managed to reach final games, failed to place among top three athletes.

Elaheh Ahmadi had won a place among 8 finalists out of 57 shooters in 10 meter rifle earlier today, whereas her team member Najmeh Khedmati couldn’t pass through the first round.

Ahmadi who was competing with athletes from China, Germany, Croatia, the US and Russia gained 122.5 points in final after shooting six bullets and only could place in sixth position of the table. The only mother in Iranian camp of athletes lost the dream of grabbing an Olympics medal despite her efforts and repeated her 2012 results in London Olympics games.
