Iran to finalize development contracts with China

TEHRAN, July 3 (MNA) – The Iranian delegation of 8 representatives started negotiation with the officials of the Central Bank of China on finalizing three development contracts to be carried out by the Chinese companies in Iran.

The 8-person Iranian delegation is comprised of representatives from the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), Bank Tejarat, the Ministry of Roads and Transportation, and Tehran-Shomal Freeway Co.

 

The delegation visited the country with the aim of finalizing contract with the Chinese companies on Tehran-North Freeway as well as two contracts on constructing railway and metro. These companies would launch activities under the credit security of Central Bank of China.

 

Construction of Tehran-Shomal Freeway would be accelerated in light of this financial guarantee by Central Bank of China and the participation of the Chinese companies in the project. 

 

The volume of the Chinese finance in this project stands at nearly $285m, and the investment would be repatriated within five years through receiving highway tolls.
