Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs further condemned the escalation of security approaches against religious and national leaders in Bahrain, opposition to religious beliefs and principles, and misappropriation of property and religious funds of Bahraini people.
The Foreign Ministry stressed that such moves eliminate any hope for reform through dialogue and peaceful means.
Iran also called on the Bahraini government to end extrajudicial punishments, avoid burning all bridges of communication with the public and moderate leaders of Bahrain, and halt the current crisis in Bahrain by accepting the realities of the country and holding serious national dialogues.
The Al-Khalifa regime on Monday revoked the citizenship of prominent Shia cleric Isa Qassim on charges of using his position to "serve foreign interests" and promote "sectarianism and violence".
