IRI embassy in Turkey warns citizens to avoid crowded venues

TEHRAN, Jun. 10 (MNA) – After several terrorist attacks in Turkey, the embassy of Iran in Ankara issued an announcement to warn Iranians about the dangers threatening tourists and visitors.

A new travel warning was issued by Iran’s embassy in Turkish capital city of Ankara, advising Iranian expatriates to be watchful of the latest security announcements of the local authorities in Turkey and avoid attending highly populated or crowded places.

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s embassy issued the warning on Thursday, after several terrorist incidents occured in Turkey in the last week.

Turkey is one of the favorite destinations of Iranian tourists, as the neighboring country shares a lot of religious, historical, and cultural commonalities with Iran.

The communiqué also announces that the consulates of the Islamic Republic of Iran in cities of Erzurum, Trabzon, and Istanbul provide consular services in office hours during the week.
