9 Iranian films to vie at Poland’s Zoom festival

TEHRAN, Feb. 20 (MNA) – Nine Iranian short films, documentaries and animations are going to participate in the competition section of 19th Poland Zoom Independent Film Festival.

The festival is going to take place on 16-21 February in Jelenia Gora city of Poland and is going to screen the films in three sections of main competition, animation competition and video art competition.

‘Iranian Ninja’ by Marjan Riahi, and ‘Ganog’ by Alireza Boloon are the Iranian documentaries in the competition section of this festival.

‘Funeral’ by Nima Majlesi, ‘The Little boy’ by Mona Abdollah Shahi, ‘Hole’ by Parnaz Rad, and ‘Changeover’ by Mehdi Alibeygi will participate in the animation section.

‘Tehran’ by Masoud Moein, ‘Roof & Sky’ by Hamid Dastgerdi, and ‘Belief’ by Ali Reza Salmanpour will take part in the video art competition.

International Film Festival ZOOM – ZBLIŻENIA, held in Jelenia Góra, Poland, aims to present different cultures, film language, exchange of ideas, as well as presentation and promotion of independent film art. The event will feature festival screening and special film shows, as well as panel discussions open to the audience, Jury debates, and meetings with filmmakers.
