Iran maintained dominance all through the match with Farhad Tavakoli (four goals), Mahdi Javid (three goals), Hossein Tayebi (three goals), captain Mohammad Keshavarz (two goals), Hamid Ahmadi and Alireza Vafaei who all got on the scoresheet in a resounding victory with Phung Trong Luan netting for Vietnam.
Iranian futsal players have scored a stunning 46 goals in just five games on route to their 12th continental final.
The Iranian outfit had previously overwhelmed Jordan, China and Iraq in the first round followed by a further victory over Kyrgyzstan in the quarter-final.
Meanwhile, Vietnam had reached the semifinal round after eliminating Japan in the quarter-finals.
With the precious victory over the Southeast Asian country, Iran set up a date with Uzbekistan in Sunday’s final after the hosts secured a penalty shootout victory over Thailand on Friday.
Thailand and Vietnam will fight over the third and fourth ranking.
Australia, Iran, Thailand, Uzbekistan and Vietnam, who advanced to the quarter-final stage of the 2016 AFC Futsal Championship, mark the five teams to qualify for the eight edition of FIFA Futsal World Cup Colombia 2016, which will commence on September 10, 2016, with the final taking place on October 1.
