‘Practice of Tolerance’ clinches first intl. trophy

TEHRAN, Feb. 10 (MNA) – A short documentary by Ebrahim Saeidinejad, ‘Practice of Tolerance’ has received the Diploma of Honor in International Film Festival for the Persons with Disabilities (IFFPD).

The documentary is a product of Ahvaz Young Cinema Association. This was the first international participation of the short documentary where it competed with documentaries from Germany, India, Spain, France, and others and won Special Jury Mention for its direction.

‘Practice of Tolerance’ is directed, photographed, and edited by Ebrahim Saeidinejad, with Mohsen Farhadi as its sound recorder and Shams Razavi as its narrator. The music is composed by Farahzad Layegh.

The 1st international film festival for persons with disabilities, in recognition of the spirit of the persons with disabilities, will showcase cinemas that open our world to their mind-space and also cinema that has been made by them.

The festival is organized by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and National Film, with the general theme of ‘Disability is Only a State of Mind.’

The film festival comprise of Gala Screenings of films on disabilities both National and International, Directors and Screenwriters workshops and other events.

“In a world where persons with disabilities often get sidelined, this event will put the spotlight on their work and expression that deserves appreciation for their skill, honesty of thought, and for a unique perspective on their life, challenges and aspirations,” wrote the official website of the event.
