National wrestlers know rivals at Hungarian Grand Prix

TEHRAN, Feb. 06 (MNA) – The weigh-in ceremony for the first four categories of 2016 Greco-Roman Hungarian Grand Prix was held in the city of Szombathely.

The 2016 Hungarian Grand Prix begins today at 66, 76, 85 and 130kg weight categories.

At 85kg where 21 wrestlers compete, Iran’s Davoud Abedinzadeh (85kg) will start career in the second round by facing the Belarusian Javid Hamzatov holder of the bronze medals at the World Championships and in case of victory, he will meet a Polish, Slovenian or Japanese rival.

Meanwhile, at the 130kg with the attendance of 14 athletes, Iranian Bashir Babajanzadeh will face Balint Lam of the host country who has the fifths ranking at the European tournaments.

If Babajanzadeh overcomes the Hungarian rival, he will meet the winner of the match between Polish and Japanese wrestlers.

Iran has deployed two Greco-Roman representatives to the two-day event.
