Murphy, member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, told Huffington Post on Friday that he is still waiting for a convincing explanation for Washington's support to a conflict that has caused thousands of deaths in an unstable nation.
In his opinion, the United States is going through the devastating consequences of its support to the Saudi kingdom, especially collateral damage and chaos, which has favored the scattering of extremist groups throughout Yemen.
Besides, he asserted that the Saudi irresponsible war worsened the humanitarian crisis in that Asian nation, which has been under intensive bombings since President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi fled the country after refusing to step down in March.
