FM spokesperson condemns Pakistan terror attacks

TEHRAN, Jan. 20 (MNA) – FM spokesperson has condemned terrorist blast in northwestern Pakistan.

Sadeq Hossein Jaberi Ansari officially condemned the blast in Pacha Khan University in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region of Pakistan. He also offered condolences to the families of the victims and the government of Pakistan; “the Islamic Republic of Iran assesses the attacks in line with evil objectives of the enemies of Pakistan and the world of Islam; we emphasize on our principled positon of necessity of a united global front against terrorism and extremism,” he added.

On Wednesday, militants raided a university in northwest Pakistan, timing their attack to a ceremony at the school to ensure maximum casualties.

It is said 19 civilians were killed, along with four terrorists. Police expects the number of civilian deaths to increase. Earlier, an army spokesman said that 21 civilians had been killed, CNN reporter from Pakistan reported.
