IAEA’s report holds cases of ambiguity

TEHRAN, Dec. 15 (MNA) – Iran's Senior MP quoted deputy FM as saying the report by IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano holds gray and ambiguous cases.

The spokesman for the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Nozar Shafiee quoted Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, saying that recent report by the UN’s nuclear watchdog about Tehran’s nuclear program holds some cases of ambiguity, noting that the Foreign Ministry has provided a technical statement to be issued when the Board of Governors confirm Amano’s report.

Araghchi said after meeting members of the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission on Monday that JCPOA both in detail and in general is clear and all charges, sanctions and pressures against Iran under the pretext of the so-called PMD (possible military dimensions) is now being resolved, adding that, however, PMD was a file closed in the framework of political solutions, otherwise IAEA was still able to make excuses over the cases mentioned within the file.

"Mr. Araghchi asserted that the most important part of the report on PMD in Iran’s nuclear program was confirming Iran's nuclear activities as peaceful," Shafiee noted.

Senior MP underlined that Araghchi said after the IAEA Board of Governors issue the new resolution, the agenda of the IAEA will change, which means that from now on the agenda will focus on the implementation of JCPOA not PMD.

Araghchi underlined that the new resolution will lead to the termination of provisions of previous resolutions, Shafiee cited.
