The Iranian flick received the Best Film and Best Screenplay awards of the film festival’s Panorama section.
The Best Director Award of the section was presented to Korean filmmaker Hong Sang-soo for his Hill of Freedom.
Produced by Masoud Jafari Jozani, A Tale of Love tells the story of a war photographer who enters Halabja, a city in Iraqi Kurdistan, after it was gassed by the Iraqi army during the Iraq-Iran War.
The film had also been screened at the 39th Montreal Film Festival in Canada.
The 2015 Casa Asia Film Week also screened four other Iranian films namely Night Shift by Niki Karimi, The Rainbow Island by Khosrow Sinai, The Long Farewell by Farza Motamen and Today by Reza Mirkarimi.
The film festival aims to present the best recently-produced Asian fiction, documentary, animation and short films.
The 2015 Casa Asia Film Week was held from November 11 to 15.
