Futsal team finishes vice-champion at 2015 Grand Prix

TEHRAN, Nov. 09 (MNA) – Iranian futsal players had to concede defeat to the hosting Brazilians finishing as vice-champion in the 2015 Grand Prix de Futsal Cup.

The finals of the 10th round of Grand Prix Futsal Cup was held on Sunday morning between Iran and Brazil in in Olímpico Engenheiro Wagner do Nascimento sports hall in Brazil's Uberaba.

The match came to an end with Iran scoring 3 goals conceding 10 to become vice-champion winning the silver medal at 2015 Grand Prix tournament.

Being the champion once again, hosting Brazil has been the most successful team in the tournament with eight titles while Spain has won the competition once in 2010.

A total of eight national teams had participated in the competitions including Iran, Colombia, Angola, Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, Guatemala and Zambia.

Iran had previously downed Colombia, Angola, Uruguay as well as Paraguay to advance to the finals.

Colombia and Paraguay came second and third at the tournament, respectively.
