Touring the world, the Iranian film was this time picked up for the Ukrainian event’s international competition section (student competition).
Elegy, produced by the Orumieh office of Iranian Youth Cinema Society, narrates the story of an old man who has been waiting for the return of his missing son for 25 years.
The film has been screened internationally in a number of festivals including those in the US, Tanzania, Italy, Germany, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Russia.
Molodist International Film Festival is the major regular cinema event in Ukraine and Eastern Europe as considered by FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Associations).
Competition program consists of sections of student films, first short films and first full-feature films.
The 45th edition of the festival is slated for October 24- November 1.
