‘I am Diego Maradona’ heading to Norway

TEHRAN, Sep. 29 (MNA) – Bahram Tavakoli’s family drama I am Diego Maradona will be screened in Norway’s Films from the South Festival, 8-18 October, 2015.

The Iranian flick is supposed to go on screen in the Main Competition and Special Screenings section of the festival, to be held in Oslo.

I am Diego Maradona is a gripping domestic drama revolving around two married sisters who have to face their unsuccessful marriage involving all family members “for best or for worse”.

Bahram Tavakoli is an award-winning Iranian short and feature film director, with films such as A Walk in the Fog (2010), Here Without Me (2011), The Shallow Yellow Sky (2013) and The Stranger (2014) in his filmography. His films have been screened at several international film festivals.

Films from the South Festival is an international movie festival held annually in Oslo, Norway. Movies from Africa, Asia, and Latin-America are shown. The festival has its origin in the student film club of University of Oslo, and has gone on to become one of Norway's most favorite festivals.
