Speaking in an open session of the parliament on Sunday, Larijani pointed out that Iran mourns for death of over 130 Iranian Hajj pilgrims in Mina tragedy.
“Unfortunately, a large number of pilgrims, including 136 Iranians, were slaughtered in a tragic event sorrow of which has been weighing on the hearts of us and all Muslims during these past few days," he added.
Underlining the need for probing the incident by a special Iranian delegation, headed by Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati, Larijani said the report proves Saudi Arabia is to blame for what happened to the hundreds of pilgrims in Mina.
He reiterated that Al Saud’s negligence and mismanagement paved the way for occurrence of such tragedies during Hajj Rituals.
Larijani deplored Saudi Arabia for its insufficient cooperation with the Islamic Republic in addressing problems facing Iranian pilgrims.
He reiterated that Muslim world will never forget Saudi Arabia’s incorrect behavior, underlining that the treatment is far from a true Muslim country.
