‘Saudis must apologize for tragic incidents’

TEHRAN, Sep. 27 (MNA) – Ayatollah Khamenei underlined that Saudi rulers must accept their responsibility in the tragic incident in Mina by apologizing to the Islamic Ummah.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the bitter tragedy in Mina at the opening of his class of advanced Fiqh this morning on Sunday and reaffirmed that the incident turned the Eid al-Adha into mourning for Islamic Ummah; “one cannot detach from this sorrow for even a single moment and the sorrow has been occupying hearts of us and all Muslims in recent days. World of Islam has many questions and death of more than one thousand people in the tragedy is not a small issue. Thus the Muslim world has to think about it.”

Ayatollah Khamenei also asserted that “this issue will not be forgotten and the nations will follow it seriously and Saudis, instead of playing blame game and accusing the others, must shoulder their responsibility and apologize the Islamic Ummah and bereaved families of the victims.”
