The Fifth edition of International Wushu Competitions of Pars Cup will kick off on Saturday September 19 in Tehran’s 12,000-seat Azadi Stadium.
The event is expected to enjoy the presence of the champions of the world and Asia in 9 weight categories of Sanda and 10 forms of taolu.
The Wushu practitioners competing in the event are from Iran, the USA, Russia, Sweden, Bulgaria, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, the Philippines, Iraq, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Hong Kong, Pakistan and Vietnam.
As the host of the event, Iran is present with two teams entitled the best of Iran and South Pars.
South Pars team is comprised of Ali Bakhtiari, Foroud Zafari, Jafar Shirzad, Mohsen Mohammadseifi, Sajjad Abbasi, Milad Arefimagham, Amir Fazli, Hamidreza Gholipour, Ali Vatankhah, Amirmohammad Reazie, Taher Ghasemi, Reza Khalafzadeh, and Arman Bazyari.
Hossein Ojaghi coaches the team assisted by Amir Ojaghi, Ehsan Peyghambari, and Mohsen Ahmadi.
The other Iranian team is formed by Erfan Ahangarian, Farshad Arabi, Saman Ahmadi, Behrouz Bakhshizadeh, Afshin Salimi, Yazdan Mirzaie, and Mas’oud Ansari.
The best of Iran are coached by Mansour Nowrouzi, Ali Shiraghaie, and Towhid Asadian.
