Directed by Nima Javid, Melbourne will compete with nine other films from Greece, France, Azerbaijan, India, Russia, Turkey, and Kazakhstan at the competition section of the Eurasia Film Festival.
Melbourne has so far been screened at several international film festivals including 10th edition of Zurich international Film Festival, 27th Tokyo International Film Festival, as well as IndieLisboa and Belgium International Film Festivals.
The film recounts the story of a young couple on their way to Melbourne to continue their studies. However, just a few hours before their flight, they are unintentionally involved in a tragic event.
The 11th Eurasia International Film Festival will open on September 19 in Almaty, Kazakhstan and will end on September 25 by announcing the winners.
